FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State grabbed a double-digit lead in the Compulsory event and never looked back in a 263.270-171.335 victory over Adrian College on Sunday afternoon to improve to 2-0 on the season.

After jumping out to a 16-point lead in the opening event, Fairmont State continued to add to their lead throughout the afternoon by winning each event, including a 27.35-22.50 advantage in acro, 28.20-23.65 in pyramid, 26.95-19.70 in toss, 49.600-33.175 in tumbling and 93.32-50.46 in the team routine. The Falcons won all but one heat (Pyramid, Heat 1) and swept the events in the meet. The Falcons recorded a high score of 9.90 in a pair of events.

Angela Viscount, Siarra Shoff, Courtney Stack, Amanda Corley, Brooke Fadeley, Kristin Tacy, Haley Cochran, Victoria Simon, Danielle DiCarlo, Nicole Uccello, Shayla Wright, Lacey Peterson, Whitney Layton, Brooke Shambaugh and Allison Rogers teamed up to give the Falcons a score of 9.90 in the Pyramid Heat of the Compulsory event. FSU also scored a 9.90 in Heat Two of the Pyramid event with Sydney Fisher, Shambaugh, Rogers, Shoff, Corley, Layton, Cochran, Lauren Williams, Uccello and Jackie Baker.

The Falcons will travel to Alderson Broaddus on March 3 for a dual meet against the Battlers.
