ELKINS, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State men’s and women’s cross country teams both placed fifth at
their second event of the season at the Davis & Elkins Invitational.
The Falcon men totaled a score of 133 points. West Virginia Wesleyan placed first at the competition totaling a score of 28. Wesleyan had seven runners finish in the top 11.
Fairmont State was lead by Scott Treadway who finished 18th (31:06). Jobey Knapton placed 30th (32:01), Austin Mcfee finished 32nd (32:07), Jacob Lafferee took 35th (32:35), Kenny Burnley finished 53rd (38:27), and Logan Moore was 54th (39:31).
The Falcon women finished with a team total of 144 points. The Seaton Hill team took first place with a final score of 16. Seaton Hill had five of its scoring runners finish in the top six.
FSU was lead by Laura Horning who finished in 18th place (25:12). Others finishers were Lacee Fulton (30th, 26:32), Marie Friend (37th, 27:20), Caycee Guthrie (40th, 27:42), Ashley Hamrick (41st, 27:55), Halyey Baird (48th, 28:46), Alana Coen (53rd, 29:44) and Madison Bowman (59th, 32:01).
