PRINCETON, W.Va. -- Fairmont State junior guard Kaitlin Snyder was named WVIAC Player of the Week for the second time this season after guiding the Falcons to a 2-0 week.
Snyder, a native of Charleston, W.Va., averaged 21 points, five assists and 2.5 rebounds in wins over Shepherd and Alderson-Broaddus. In the win over the Rams, she scored a game-high 23 points, including 16 in the second half, to help FSU erase a 10-point second half deficit. She hit a late three-pointer that broke a 61-61 tie that gave the Falcons the lead for good in the 66-63 win. Against A-B, Snyder notched 19 points and handed out a game-high six assists in a 66-56 win over the Battlers.
Snyder and the Falcons are on the road for the next three contests at WV Wesleyan on Monday, followed by trips to Glenville State and Bluefield State.
