Charleston Bests FSU, 8-1

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Freshman Taylor Nichols won her second singles match in as many days, but it wasn't enough as Charleston defeated Fairmont State, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon at Westview Tennis Center.

The Golden Eagles swept the doubles matches to surge ahead 3-0. Nichols provided a win at No. 2 singles for Fairmont State, but UC controlled the rest of the matches winning in straight sets in all the other matches.

Fairmont State will be back in action on Monday to take on West Virginia Wesleyan at 4 p.m. at the FSU Tennis Courts.
