PRINCETON, W.Va -- Fairmont State’s Tabbie Bias has been named the WVIAC Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced today.
The sophomore setter from Barboursville, W. Va., guided the Falcons to a 3-0 week. Bias helped FSU to a WVIAC win and two non-conference victories.
In the five-set win at Pitt-Johnstown, she dished out a career-high 69 assists while contributing 10 digs and two block assists. Against Kutztown, Bias tallied 35 assists and two block assists. She finished the week by registering 33 assists and four aces in the victory over Shippensburg.
Her passing enabled the squad to hit .244 in all three matches. Bias accounted for 92 percent of the team’s assists on the week.
Bias has helped the Falcons to a 3-0 league record on the season.
