MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. -- Fairmont State placed sixth at the WVIAC Northern Regional at the Moundsville Country Club in Moundsville, W.Va. The Falcons were in seventh place after day one with a 348. They climbed to fourth place on day two with a 332. The Falcons scored a 680 for the tournament.
Wheeling Jesuit came in first place with a two-day score of 625. Concord's Steph Peareth won the idividual award with a two-day score of 149. FSU's Elizabeth Frederick was named to the all-tournament team because of her fourh-place finish with a score of 155. She was joined on the all-tournament team by Peareth (CU), Whitney Young (WJU), Kasey Frazier (WJU) and Juli Hirauk (WJU).
In addition to Frederick, Nicole Smith came in 17th place for the Falcons with a score of 167 during the two day event. Danielle Davis shot a 178 and placed 28th, while Cat Fiorini cracked the top 30 by shooting a 180. Frederick shot a tournament best +3 on par four holes.
