FSU Rolls Past Fighting Scots

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State rolled past Ohio Valley (25-19, 25-22, 25-15) on Friday evening at Joe Retton Arena. The win marks the ninth-straight for the Falcons.

The Falcons improved to 15-5 on the season and remained unbeaten in the WVIAC at 5-0. The Fighting Scots slipped to 4-19 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

The Falcons were led by Bri Swann with 12 kills and seven digs. Erin Harwood added nine kills and four service aces for the Falcons. Courtney Kress chipped in eight kills. Jessica Margo led the way with 36 assists and Tiff Smathers had 17 digs.

Amanda Weatherwax led the Scots with seven kills and six digs. Mallory Kelley and Latoschia Taylor each had 12 digs for OVU and Hannah McMichael led the way with nine assists.

The Falcons will travel to Euclid, Ohio for a pair of matches tomorrow afternoon, they will face Notre Dame College at 2 p.m. and Ursuline at 4 p.m.
