PRINCETON, W. Va. – Fairmont State’s Bri Swann has been named the WVIAC Volleyball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Swann, a 5-10 junior outside hitter from Xenia, Ohio, guided the Falcons to a 4-0 week while helping the squad push its winning streak to 11 matches.
Swann totaled 58 kills on the week while playing just 13 sets (4.46 kills per set). In three of the matches she earned a double-double, finishing the week with 46 digs. In the win over Charleston, Swann accounted for 12 kills and 12 digs to go along with two aces. Against Ohio Valley, she had 12 kills and seven digs while playing in just two sets.
Stepping out of conference, Swann had a season-high 22 kills in a four-set win over Notre Dame. She also notched 11 digs and was in on three blocks. Against Ursuline, Swann hammered home 12 kills and 16 digs. She also had two blocks in the victory.
