FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State's Elizabeth Frederick turned in a third place finish to lead the Falcons at the WVIAC Championships at Canaan Valley Resort.
Frederick shot a 76 on day one and a 79 on day two to finish with a 155, just five shots back of medalist Kasey Frazier of Wheeling Jesuit. Charleston's Kelli Garrett was second with a 154, and Frederick tied for third with Seton Hill's Morgan Miller.
FSU's Nicole Smith turned in a top-10 finish by taking ninth with a two-day total of 161. Danielle Davis was 32nd (185) and Cat Fiorini finished 37th (209).
The Falcons finished seventh in the tournament with a score of 710. Wheeling Jesuit won the event with a team score of 636, followed by Concord (646) and Seton Hill (658).
