Falcons Face Road Test At IUP on Tuesday

- For the second-consecutive season, Fairmont State will travel to Indiana (PA) for a showdown of regional powerhouses. In last season's regular season matchup, the Falcons outlasted IUP, 91-81 in overtime, on the road.
- In last December's meeting, Jason Jolly led the Falcons with 22 points, four assists and four steals. Vonte Montgomery also chipped in double-figures with 10.
- The Falcons and Crimson Hawks also met in the Atlantic Region Semifinals at Joe Retton Arena last winter, with FSU rolling to an 84-68 win to advance to the Sweet 16. In last season's NCAA Tournament matchup, Jolly chipped in 18 points and six rebounds, and D'Ondre Stockman chipped in 12 with four three-pointers in the win.
- Fairmont State is looking for its fourth-straight win over IUP on Tuesday evening.
- Each of Indiana's (PA) losses have come to a team that has been ranked in a top 25 national poll this season (Findlay, Ferris State, Virginia State and West Chester). The Crimson Hawks have won six of their last seven games this season.
- Fairmont State has won four of its last five games, with the only loss coming against seventh-ranked West Liberty on Saturday, Dec. 9.
- Fairmont State has played three opponents that were ranked in the top 25 in the country, earning a win over No. 9 Wheeling Jesuit back on Dec. 6.
- The Falcons are 2-0 against teams from the PSAC this season, earning wins over Millersville (92-89) and California (PA) (102-93).
- In Fairmont's victory over California (PA) on Saturday, the Falcons outscored the Vulcans 19-8 in the final 3:56 of the game to earn the victory.
- D'Ondre Stockman recorded a career-high 28 points with eight 3-pointers in Fairmont's win over Cal.
- Jason Jolly is leading three double-figure scorers for the Falcons this season, averaging 21.3 points per game. Vonte Montgomery (13.1) and Stockman (10.6) are also averaging double-figure scoring this season. The Falcons have been using a balanced offensive attack this season with seven players averaging at least eight points per game.
- The 5-7 guard has led the Falcons in scoring in seven of their 10 games, including a career-high 40-point performance in the loss to West Virginia State.
- For his career Jolly currently has 959 points and needs just 41 more to become only the 47th player in school history to score 1,000 or more points in his career. Jolly is shooting 46.6 percent from the field (68-of-146), including a 46.4 performance from behind the 3-point line (39-of-84) this season.
- Jolly currently has made 169 3-point field goals for his career and already ranks fourth in school history in that category. He needs nine more made 3-pointers to pass his former teammate Jamel Morris (178) for third place.
