WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State wrestling team finished in third place at the Mountain East Conference Wrestling Championship after scoring 93.5 points on Saturday (Jan. 28) at the Academic, Sports and Recreation Complex (ASRC) in West Liberty, W.Va.

Four Fairmont State wrestlers,
Nate Pelesky (133 lbs),
Caleb Everhart (141 lbs),
Colton Stoneking (149 lbs) and
Kolton Parsons (157 lbs) brought home Honorable Mention All-MEC accolades after winning third place in their respective divisions.

Everhart pinned his opponent from Davis & Elkins in the quarterfinal match in 2:50. After dropping the semifinal match, Everhart bounced back and won the third place match over Wheeling in a 3-0 decision. Stoneking earned a win by fall versus Alderson Broaddus in the quarterfinal match. After dropping the semifinal dual, Stoneking won two-straight matches over Wheeling and Notre Dame (Ohio) to win third place. Parsons won his third-place match by fall in 1:16 over his opponent from Alderson Broaddus.

Brandan Meyers took home fifth place in the 125-pound division.
Evan Thompson won fifth place after defeating his opponent from Wheeling in the 165-pound division.
Jude Childers claimed forth place and defeated his opponent from AB in the opening round in the 174-pound bracket.
Nick Kelbaugh achieved fifth place in the 184-pound bracket after winning by fall versus AB and forfeit versus Wheeling.
Aydan Edwards earned a pin versus Glenville State and claimed sixth-place to round out the scoring for the Fighting Falcons.
