BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – A pair of Fairmont State standouts have been chosen as this week's Mountain East Conference Male and Female Swimmers of the Week. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Patrick Fubio was named MEC Male Swimmer of the Week with the Falcons'
Zoe Hoover earning MEC Female Swimmer of the Week honors.
Fubio, a senior from Clarksburg, W.Va., won every race he competed in this week as the Falcon men and women swam a tri-meet against Malone and WVU Tech. Fubio won the 50 and 100 free while he also swam a leg on Fairmont State's victorious 200 medley relay. Fubio set a new Feaster Center Pool record in the 100 Free (45.91) while the Falcons also set a pool record in the 200 Medley Relay (1:33.85).
Hoover, a sophomore from Tomball, Texas, picked up two wins by pulling off a clean sweep in the 50 and 100 freestyle races. She currently ranks No. 2 in the MEC in the 50 freestyle and is No. 1 in the 100 freestyle.
