BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State's Vladimir Fedoseev has been named the MEC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Fedoseev, a graduate student from Russia, led Fairmont State with two individual wins and a relay victories against Shippensburg. Fedoseev won the 50 freestyle in 21.06 and led the 200 freestyle relay with 21.56. He holds the five fastest times in the MEC in the 50 freestyle this season, and also picked up a win in the 100 butterly with the fastest time in the MEC this season.
