ELKINS, W.Va. — The Fairmont State University men's swimming team showcased a strong performance against Davis & Elkins on Friday, but fell by the score of 170-62. The evening was highlighted by
Vladimir Fedoseev's victories in both the 50-yard butterfly and 50-yard freestyle events. The team collected significant points through key finishes, including a second-place result in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Vladimir Fedoseev secured two first-place finishes, leading the team with a time of 23.26 in the 50 Yard Butterfly and 22.46 in the 50 Yard Freestyle. He also contributed to the second-place finish in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
George Ferguson made strong contributions by placing third in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:01.41 and securing second in the 100 Yard Backstroke, clocking in at 56.40. He was also part of the relay team that finished second in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Grant Ridenour achieved a third-place finish in the 50 Yard Backstroke with a time of 26.18. He also placed third in the 100 Yard Freestyle, recording a time of 50.53, and contributed to the second-place 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team.
Adam Fubio showed versatility with a second-place finish in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, completing the race in 11:49.44. He also competed in the 50 Yard Breaststroke and the 100 Yard Breaststroke, finishing fifth in both events.
Fairmont State will next face Salem University on Saturday, November 15 at The Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Start time is set for 12:00 p.m.
