FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The Fairmont State women's golf team claimed fourth place at the Senator Larry Edgell Invitational, led by
Emerson Simons who tied for fifth with a two-round total of 155 (+15).

Emerson Simons delivered a strong performance for Fairmont State, tying for 5th place with a final score of 155 (+15). Simons shot a 77 (+7) in the first round and followed it with a 78 (+8) in the second round, leading the team with consistent play across both rounds.
Marra Johnson secured a T19 finish, contributing a total score of 171 (+31). Johnson improved her game in the second round by scoring an 84 (+14), a three-stroke improvement from her first round of 87 (+17).
Kaily Banal ended the tournament in 24th position with a total of 181 (+41). Banal posted scores of 89 (+19) in the first round and 92 (+22) in the second round, maintaining her position within the team standings.
Lanae Street placed 25th with a final score of 184 (+44). Street showed improvement in the second round, carding a 91 (+21) after an initial round of 93 (+23).
Fairmont State final tournament of the fall portion of the schedule will be the Mountain East Conference Championship at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. The tournament begins on Monday, October 6 through Wednesday, October 8.
