BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Vladimir Fedoseev has been named the MEC Men's Swimmer of the Week while fellow Falcon
Maitlyn Miller has been named the MEC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Fedossev, a graduate student from Moscow, Russia, secured a pair of individual wins and was part of three victorious relays last week in meets against Salem University and West Virginia Wesleyan. Fedoseev won the 50 freestyle in 21.84 against Salem and added a 21.56 leadoff time in the 200 freestyle relay to help his team to a win by nearly a second. The on Saturday, Fedoseev helped his team to a 109-68 win over West Virginia Wesleyan by winning the 50 freestyle in 21.45 and added a 50 freestyle leadoff split of 21.78 in the winning 200 freestyle relay. He also added a 22.52 50 butterfly split in the 200 medley relay to add to the win column.
Miller, a freshman from Moundsville, West Virginia, had a pair of individual wins and four relay wins in wins over Salem University and West Virginia Wesleyan last week. She swam to a first-place finish in the 50 freestyle on Thursday with a time of 25.25. She added a win in the 200 freestyle relay and anchored the 400 medley relay to a win. Then on Saturday, Miller added an individual win in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.98 and added 50 freestyle splits of 25.73 in the 200 freestyle relay and 25.27 in the 200 medley relay. She holds the fastest 50 freestyle time in the Mountain East Conference.
