Sarah Yost enters her sixth season as head women's golf coach and fifth as head men's golf coach at Fairmont State University.
In her time at Fairmont State, Yost recruited and helped freshman Sydney Brill to first team All-MEC and MEC Freshman of the Year honors during the 2017-18 season.
On the men's side, Yost helped Fairmont State to a pair of top-5 finishes in the spring or 2018, including a second-place finish at the Mister Bee Intercollegiate and a fifth-place finish at the Battle at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Bailey Mohr earned MEC honorable mention following the 2017-18 season.
During the 2018-19 season, Yost helped Fairmont State climb into the Atlantic Region Rankings during the spring, ranking as high as No. 9. Fairmont State turned in three top-5 finishes during the season. In addition, a trio of Falcons earned All-MEC golf honors following the 2018-19 season, including first-team selection Ben Knight. Marco Oliverio was also a second-team selection, and freshman Nicky Moroose earned MEC honorable mention accolades.
In addition to his second team All-MEC honors, Oliverio also qualified for the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional and placed 68th at the event.
The 2019-20 season also started off strong for the Falcons with three top-5 finishes during the fall portion of the schedule. The spring schedule was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but not before a trio of Falcons garnered MEC honors, including second-team selections Ben Knight and Matthew Barrish, and MEC honorable mention selection Marco Oliverio.
During the spring of 2021, the men's golf team ranked as high as No. 7 in the Atlantic Region rankings before coming up just short of the NCAA bid. However, Oliverio made his second appearance at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional after qualifying as an individual in 2021. Oliverio finished in a tie for 26th place at the event.
In addition, Matthew Barrish, Sydney Brill and Sydney McLaughlin all earned All-MEC golf honors following the 2021 campaign.
