Virginia Krasznay joined the Fairmont State University Acrobatics & Tumbling staff in July 2025.
Before Fairmont State, Krasznay joined the Wheeling University Acrobatics & Tumbling staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach in June 2024. In her role, she helped lead daily practices, choreographs routines, organizes stunt and tumbling groups, and develops year-round strength and conditioning programming for the Cardinals. She also played a key role in meet preparation, handling final start values and gaining expertise in the NCATA code of points, while assisting with team travel, event operations, and game-day readiness.
Prior to stepping into coaching at the collegiate level, Krasznay built a strong background in gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling instruction. She served as a competitive gymnastics coach at St. Mary’s Gymnastics Center in Maryland from 2017–2023, where she led training for USAG Levels 3–8 and Xcel divisions, including head coaching a Level 4 team. She also gained experience coaching tumbling and cheer at Mecca Sports Complex and continues to work as a certified Flexologist at Stretch Lab in Mt. Lebanon, PA, creating individualized training and recovery programs for clients.
A native of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Krasznay was a standout student-athlete at Frostburg State University, where she was an inaugural member of the Acrobatics & Tumbling team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Business Management in 2024 and was honored with the Outstanding Senior Award in Kinesiology. During her collegiate career, she was a two-time Mountain East Conference champion (2023 & 2024), an NCATA national team and event qualifier, and a multi-time NCATA Academic Honor Roll recipient.
Krasznay is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Wheeling University with an expected graduation date of April 2026. She is CPR and First Aid certified and is recognized for her leadership, work ethic, and passion for athlete development.
