BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State's Kaitlyn Witsaman is the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week after helping the Falcons to a 3-0 week.

Witsaman, a senior from Medina, Ohio, recorded 35 kills, 14 digs and two blocks as the Falcons improved to 19-7 on the year. She opened the week with 13 kills and .400 hitting percentage as FSU picked up a key in-region win over Seton Hill. In MEC play against Notre Dame, she registered a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs, and then finished the week with 11 more kills and two blocks in a win over Urbana.

Kayce Krucki (WJU) averaged four kills per set in a 2-0 week for the Cardinals ... Karly Allen (UVa-Wise) became the first Cavaliers player to have over 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career last week ... she averaged 3.7 kills per set and 3.6 digs per set in a 1-2 week ... Amanda Snowden (SU) averaged 16.5 kills with a .360 attack percentage as the Rams picked up a pair of wins ... Aleese Butler (UU) had career-high kills in back-to-back matches with 16 vs. Notre Dame and then 18 vs. Shepherd ... Brooke Heck (CU) had 22 kills and five blocks on the week ... Sydney Scherer (WLU) had 14 kills and hit .542 in two matches for the 'Toppers ... Lindsay Shirilla (NDC) had 30 kills, 14 digs and three blocks for the Falcons last week ... Kaitlyn Larner (GSC) registered 34 kills last week for the Pioneers.
