ATHENS, W.Va. -- Deidra Combs scored a career-high 23 points to lead Fairmont State to an 80-57 road victory over Concord on Thursday evening at the Carter Center in Athens.

The Falcons (15-4, 9-4 MEC) shot 61.2 percent from the field (30-of-49) and drilled 8-of-13 three-pointers (61.5%) in the victory, in which they led the entire game. The Falcons also recorded 17 assists on 30 field goals and scored 18 points-off turnovers to run away with the win and season sweep of the Mountain Lions.

In the opening half, FSU opened up a 41-23 advantage by shooting over 68 percent from the field (17-of-25) and limiting Concord to just nine field goals in the first 20 minutes of action.

Combs shot 10-of-13 from the field to lead to her career-high scoring performance. The Falcons also got 14 points from
Emily Puskarich, 13 from
Makenzie White and 12 from
Amanda Ruffner. White also added a team-high seven rebounds and five assists and Puskarich hit four three-pointers.

Concord won the turnover battle, committing just 13 compared to Fairmont's 19. However, Concord converted just 19 field goals on the evening, including just 2-of-12 from behind the arc. The Mountain Lions shot 35.8 percent from the field.

Concord (4-15, 2-11 MEC) was led by Kylie Molisee with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals, shooting 7of-10 from the field. Olivia Morgan was the only other Mountain Lion in double-figures with 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
