FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Thomas Wimbush scored 39 points, including 32 in the opening half, to lead No. 25 Fairmont State to a dominating 114-93 victory over Glenville State on Monday evening at Joe Retton Arena.

Wimbush buried 15-of-20 field goals on the evening - including seven three-pointers – to go with nine rebounds. The Falcons also got 17 points from
D'Ondre Stockman and 12 points apiece from
Matt Bingaya and
Vonte Montgomery. Bingaya also pulled down 10 rebounds to record a double-double.

FSU passed out 29 assists as a team, including eight from
Jason Jolly and seven from
Shammgod Wells in the victory.

The Falcons shot 53.9 percent from the field (41-of-76) and a sizzling 48.6 percent from behind the arc, draining 18-of-37 three-pointers in the victory. FSU also scored 20 second-chance points off 18 offensive rebounds and added 13 points on the fast break. FSU held a 44-29 rebounding advantage in the victory.

FSU also missed just one free throw on the evening, going 14-of-15 from the charity stripe.

Glenville State also shot a high percent from the field (49.3%), but made just four three-pointers on the evening. All five starters reached double-figures for the Pioneers, led by Jon Dunmyer with 21 points. Brett Morris recorded a double-double for the Pioneers with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Falcons will now be idle until Wednesday, Nov. 30 when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
