FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- No. 5 Fairmont State picked up its 24
th win of the season and got the season sweep over Glenville State with a 98-87 victory on Thursday night at Joe Retton Arena.

With the win, the Falcons have improved to 24-3 overall and 18-3 in the league. The Falcons have clinched the No. 3 seed in next week's MEC Tournament. Glenville State falls to 10-17 overall and 7-14 in the MEC.

The Falcons dominated the glass 49-32 and scored 19 second-chance points off 19 offensive boards. FSU also went 11-of-32 from behind the arc (34.4%), compared to 6-of-23 (26.1%) for Glenville.

Both teams shot 45 percent from the floor and turned the ball over 15 times. In addition, the teams combined for 53 total fouls and 68 free-throw attempts were taken in the game.

Five players reached double-figures for FSU, led by
Matt Bingaya with 20 points and nine rebounds, going 8-of-10 from the field. The Falcons also got 16 points from
Jamel Morris on senior day and 15 apiece from
Jason Jolly and
Chase Connor. Connor was 5-of-7 from behind the arc.
Thomas Wimbush was also just one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 14 points, nine boards and a team-high four assists and three steals.

Trevor Andrews-Evans also continued his block party from last Saturday, swatting five shots to go along with a team-high 10 rebounds.

Glenville State was led by a pair of 20-point scoring performances in the loss, as Jalon Plummer finished with 25 and Sedric Nady chipped in 22. Brett Morris also chipped in 13 points and passed out a team-high seven assists.

The Falcons will wrap up the 2015-16 regular season on the road this Saturday when they travel to Shepherd for a 4 p.m. tip.
