Falcons Edged At No. 10 West Virginia Wesleyan

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- Fairmont State women's soccer was edged by 10th-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan, 1-0, on Wednesday evening at Culpepper Stadium in Buckhannon.
 
Wesleyan's Marissa Zetty found the back of the net with an assists from Natalie Prater just four minutes into the game to provide the only goal of the night for both teams.
 
The Bobcats fired 23 shots at FSU goalkeeper Shawna Graham, who saved 12 of the 13 shots that were on target.
 
Wesleyan did not allow a shot attempt by Fairmont State's offense. Both teams had three corner kicks in the contest.
 
With the win, Wesleyan improves to 14-0-1 on the season, including a 13-0 mark in Mountain East Conference action.
 
Fairmont State (4-5-6, 3-5-6 MEC) will now prepare for a road match on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Athens against the Mountain Lions of Concord.
