ATHENS, W.Va. -- Fairmont State rolled up 434 yards of total offense, including 307 yards on the ground, in a 35-0 shutout of Concord on Saturday afternoon at Callaghan Stadium in Athens.

With the win, FSU improves to 7-3 overall and 7-2 in the Mountain East Conference. Concord falls to 2-8 overall and 2-7 in the league.

FSU used a committee of running backs in the victory, led by
Terrell Charles with 21 carries for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Rakeem Darden also chipped in 68 yards on 11 carries and scored the first touchdown of the game in the opening quarter. Redshirt-freshman
Khalik Hamlin also chipped in seven carries for 41 yards in the second half.

Takwan Crews-Naylor had another solid outing in his third start of the year, completing 15-of-22 pass attempts for 113 yards and a pair of scores.
Shawn Harris was on the receiving end of a team-high five receptions for 59 yards and both FSU touchdown receptions.

Jeff Iweh also took some snaps at quarterback late in the fourth quarter, going 2-for-2 for 14 yards through the air and scoring on a one-yard touchdown run with just 22 seconds remaining in the game.

In addition to a 434-to-159 advantage in total offense, FSU also dominated time of possession (36:40-23:20) and went 8-of-11 on third-down chances.

FSU's offense was plagued with seven holding penalties on the afternoon, as the team piled up 11 penalties for 131 yards.

Fairmont's defense also turned in a stellar performance on the afternoon, limiting Concord to just 11 first downs, 78 rushing yards and 159 total yards of offense.

Marcus Porter led the Falcon defense with eight total stops and a pass break-up.
Jerry Iweh added seven total tackles and
Antonio Harris forced Fairmont's only turnovers of the game. The FSU secondary broke up six passes.

Adam Fulton completed just 10-of-24 pass attempts for 81 yards on the afternoon. Brandon Plyler led all CU receivers with two receptions for 50 yards.

Jamal Petty led the Mountain Lion ground attack with 14 carries for 53 yards.

Concord had two double-digit tacklers on the afternoon, including Zach Malone with 12 and Dominic Wilson with 11.

The Falcons will now prepare for a 7 p.m. showdown with rival West Liberty on Thursday at Duvall-Rosier Field.
