CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Fairmont State improved to 4-2 on the season with a pair of wins on day one of the Vulcan Volleyball Tournament. FSU opened the day with a 3-0 victory over Le Moyne (25-17, 25-14, 25-18), before taking the final three sets in a 3-1 win over Lake Erie (26-28, 25-13, 25-23, 25-20) in the nightcap.

Against the Dolphins, FSU recorded a team attacking percentage of .267, getting a team-high 17 kills and 14 digs from
Mackenzie Harrison.
Emma Mobley also recorded double-figure kills with 13 in the victory.

Jessica Furda also added a double-double performance with 32 assists and 14 digs, while
Megan Clerico totaled a team-best 15 digs in the win.

Fairmont State held a 7-1 advantage in blocks against the Dolphins, getting four block assists apiece from Mobley and
Taylor Wisniewski.

In the nightcap, Lake Erie carved out a 28-26 victory in set one before the Falcons rolled to wins in the next three sets.

The Falcons recorded a .263 attacking percentage against the Storm, in addition to holding advantages in both aces (6-0) and blocks (6-3).

Harrison continued her strong start to the season with 26 kills in the win.
Emma Mobley (12) and
Julia Shemaitis (11) also reached double-digit kills against Lake Erie.

Furda (50 assists, 15 digs), Shemaitis (11 kills, 16 digs) and Harrison (26 kills, 14 digs) each recorded double-double performances in the win over the Storm. Clerico recorded a team-best 18 digs in the match.

Fairmont State will return to Cal's Convocation Center on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. match against Daemen College.
