FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- For the second week in a row Fairmont State racked up over 300 yards on the ground as the Falcons steamrolled Concord 56-17 in Mountain East Conference action at Duvall-Rosier Field on Saturday afternoon during senior day.

The victory, Fairmont State's fourth in a row, helped the Falcons improve to 8-2 overall and 7-2 in MEC play. Concord falls to 2-8 overall and 2-7 in league games.

Fairmont State finished Saturday's game with a season-high 340 yards on 44 carries and also scored five rushing touchdowns in the victory. Fairmont State has now rushed for 673 yards and nine TD's in the last two games. The Falcons outgained the Mountain Lions 522-350 in total offense.

Tyree Randolph led the Fairmont State ground game with 103 yards on 16 carries. The 100-yard performance was the first of his career and he was also one of five Falcons with rushing touchdowns on the day.Â
Timothy Smith added 71 yards on five carries with a score (60-yard TD run) followed by
Rakeem Darden with 61 yards on seven carries and a score.Â
Khalik Hamlin finished the game with 43 yards on seven carries and a TD in limited action.

Kick return standout
Lyrics Klugh also made an appearance on offense for the Falcons, recording a 10-yard TD run on an end-around play.

Takwan Crews-Naylor was 10-of-21 on the afternoon for 132 yards and two touchdown passes. Crews-Naylor went over the 2,000 yard passing mark in the victory, and now has 2,096 passing yards and 20 touchdowns on the year.

Quarterback
Christopher Fox also saw action late in the game, throwing his first career TD pass – a 50-yard strike to
Alquawn Vickers.

Vickers had three receptions for 86 yards and a score while
Shawn Harris added 44 yards on three catches with two scores to lead the Fairmont State passing attack.Â

Jerry Iweh led the Fairmont State defense on the afternoon with eight tackles.
Stephen Turner also chipped in four solo stops, a forced fumble and a pass break-up.

Kyle Akin completed 15-of-22 pass attempts for 158 yards and one touchdown for Concord. Adam Fulton added 32 yards and a score on 4-of-13 passing. Josh Maxwell ran for 111 yards on 13 carries for the Mountain Lions.Â

Concord scored points against Fairmont State for the first time in the last three contests.

Dwain Porterfield paced Concord's defense with eight tackles (seven solo, one assisted).

Fairmont State will wrap up the regular season on Thursday evening with a 7 p.m. MEC showdown at West Family Stadium against West Liberty. The Hilltoppers fell to Bloomsburg in non-conference action this afternoon, 34-31.
