GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Jason Jolly and
Vonte Montgomery combined for 56 points to help Fairmont State outlast Glenville State, 95-90, on Wednesday evening at the Waco Center.

After facing a 52-49 deficit at the half, the Falcons limited the Pioneers to just 36 percent from the field in the second half, outscoring Glenville 46-38 in the final 20 minutes of play.

With the win, the Falcons improved to 13-4 overall and 10-1 in Mountain East Conference play. GSC falls to 7-10 overall and 2-9 in league play.

The Falcons shot 48.6 percent from the field in the win, including a 16-of-37 clip from behind the arc (43.2%). Jolly led the Falcons with 31 points in the win, scoring most of his points with an 8-of-12 performance from behind the arc.

The 30-point scoring performance was the eighth of Jolly's Fairmont State career. Jolly also became the 30
th player in school history to go over 1,500 career points during the victory over GSC. Jolly now has 1,515 points in his four-year Fairmont State career – which ranks 30
th in school history.

The Falcons also got 25 points and 11 rebounds from Montgomery, and 14 points apiece from
Kenzie Melko-Marshall and
Andrew Emrick.

Glenville State led by as many as 11 points in the opening half, thanks in large part to 22 points from Phil Bledsoe in the first 20 minutes. Bledsoe totaled a game-high 33 points and 14 rebounds in the setback.

GSC also held a commanding 54-35 rebounding advantage, which included 20 offensive rebounds. The Pioneers finished the game with 48 points in the paint and had 17 second-chance points.

Glenville also got 19 points from Jamal Pollydore, and 14 from Howard Smith off the bench. Kalin Johnson also finished one rebound shy of a triple-double for Glenville with 11 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists.

The Pioneers shot 41 percent from the field, but struggled from behind the arc – making just 11-of-42 attempts (26.2%).

The Falcons will return to action on Saturday afternoon against Shepherd. Tip is set for 4 p.m. at the Butcher Center.
