CLERMONT, Fla. -- Fairmont State topped Lock Haven on the final day of the PFX Games in Clermont, Fla. to allow the Falcons to wrap up a 5-5 week down south.

Fairmont's final win of the week came against Lock Haven, a 3-0 shutout.

The Falcons grabbed a 2-0 lead after one inning of play in the win, as Lock Haven walked in a pair of runs in the first inning.
Carly Clarke made the score 3-0 on an RBI single to right center that scored
Heidi Hormell from second in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Hannah Absalom, who improved to 5-1 on the season with the win, allowed just two hits and struck out seven in the dominating pitching performance. It was Absalom's fifth win during Fairmont's Florida road trip – as the senior was also named the MEC Pitcher of the Week on Monday after opening the PFX games with wins over St. Thomas Aquinas, Findlay (OH) and Slippery Rock. The senior also led the Falcons to a 3-1 win over Millersville on Tuesday.

Fairmont State closed out its Clermont schedule with a 7-3 setback against Kutztown on Wednesday afternoon.

Absalom also turned in a solid pitching performance during Tuesday's 3-1 victory over Millersville. The senior allowed just one unearned run on five hits, and struck out 12 batters in the win.

Courtney Worcester started the scoring for the Falcons against Millersville, hitting an RBI double down the left field line to make the score 1-0. After Millersville tied the game in the third inning, the score remained deadlocked until the top of the seventh inning.

In the top of the seventh, Kaylee Anderson hit a double down the right field line to score
Kadi Cosgrove and give the Falcons the lead for good. Two batters later,
Jenny Stubbs singled to center field to score Anderson, giving the Falcons the 3-1 win.

Worcester batted 3-for-4 with an RBI, while
Andie Baughman went 2-for-3 against Millersville.

During the final four games in Clermont, Worcester went 7-of-12 (.583) with three runs scored, two RBIs, and two doubles.
