SALEM, W.Va. -- Fairmont State women's soccer held a 36-2 advantage in shots and rolled to a 9-0 non-conference victory over Salem University on Wednesday evening at Catalano Stadium in Salem.

With the victory Fairmont State improves to 1-1 on the season. Salem drops to 0-3 on the year and has been outscored 27-0 in three matches this season.

Seven different players recorded goals for the Falcons, including two goals apiece from
Mackenzie Gillispie and
Hailey McAllister. Gillispie led the Falcons on the evening with two goals and two assists in the win. McAllister added two goals and one assist.

Ari Christiansen also stuffed the stat sheet for the Falcons with one goal and three assists.
Cassie Whitlatch,
Louise Welch,
Abigail Fowler and
Cameryn Ciresi also netted goals for the Falcons in the victory.

Anna Schulkers recorded the seventh assist of the day for the Falcons, assisting on Fairmont State's final goal of the game to help make the final score 9-0.

Fairmont State had 17 shots on goal during the win, with Salem goalkeeper Isabelle Lones tallying eight saves in the loss.
Taylor Kennedy and
Maya Rusnak split time in goal for the Falcons, with the duo facing just two shot attempts that were off target. The Falcons also had a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
