WHEELING, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State women's soccer team added to its win column with a 2-1 overtime victory against Wheeling University Wednesday.
The Falcons struck first in the fourth minute with a goal from sophomore
Kiera Kuzinski. Wheeling tied the game 1-1 later in the first half.
Junior
Ari Christiansen netted the game-winning, overtime goal for the Falcons with the assist coming from freshman
Tristen Bright to break the tie in the first overtime.
In all, the Falcons recorded 23 shots on the night. Junior goalkeeper
Taylor Kennedy made four saves for Fairmont State.
The Falcons return to action at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 24 when they travel to Alderson Broaddus University to take on the Battlers.
