FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State volleyball team improved its record to 16-6 with a 3-0 win over Concord University at home Tuesday evening.
The Falcons (6-2 MEC) defeated the Mountain Lions in three sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-11).
Keara Lewis led the team with 11 kills while
Madison Chapman added nine and
Julia DiPaola tallied seven. Recording aces for the Falcons were
Amelia Moore (4), DiPaola (2) and
Karli Edwards (2).Â
Defensively, Lewis,
Nyla Birch and
Emma Ludwig each recorded two blocks for Fairmont State. Edwards and
Lilianna Keber led the team in digs with 14 apiece, while DiPaola added 13.Â
Keber also added 30 assists throughout the match to earn a double-double.Â
Fairmont State will travel to Glenville State Friday, October 22 to take on the Pioneers at 7 p.m.Â
