COLLEGE PARK, MD. -- On Friday night, Fairmont State women's basketball traveled to the campus of the University of Maryland for tune-up against the number four team in the nation in Division I. The Terrapins only held a 18-12 lead after the first quarter before winning the exhibition by the final of 120-67.
Sierra Kotchman paced the Falcons with 21 points on 7-15 shooting and knocking five three-pointers.
Alyssa DeAngelo joined Kotchman in double-figures with 16 points.
Fairmont State shot 35% from the floor on the evening and drained 14 threes inside the XFINITY Center.
The Fighting Falcons kick off their regular season on November 13th when they host Clarion in the Atlantic Region Women's Basketball Crossover inside Joe Retton Arena.
