BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State hit four home runs and proved to have too much offense in a Mountain East Conference sweep over Fairmont State, 7-0, 12-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex.

Following the setbacks, Fairmont State moved to 4-8 overall on the season, including 2-2 in league play. WVSU improves to 9-3 overall and 6-0 in the league.

The Falcons stranded nine runners on base during game one.

In game two, WVSU homered in two of its first three at-bats and never looked back.
