FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Fairmont State's women's tennis team picked up its second win of fall play with a win over California University of Pennsylvania earlier this week.
The Falcons swept all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches against the Vulcans to solidify the 6-1 victory.
Seniors
Ainara Pastor Garcia and
Isadora Matos teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles, while juniors
Candela Sevilla and
Mackenzie Sorton were victorious at No. 2 doubles. Freshmen
Emily Harper and
Emme McKnight joined forces to complete the sweep at No. 3 doubles.
Pastor, Matos, Sevilla, Sorton and Harper continued the strong showing for the Falcons, with each earning wins in their singles matches.
The Falcons return to play this weekend at the Division II Women's Atlantic ITA Regional Championships at Millersville University Saturday and Sunday.
