Institute & Charleston, W. VA., -- The Volleyball team hit the road for two big crossover matchups in the MEC against West Virginia State and The University of Charleston. They played back to back days first up was West Virginia State Friday night.
Volleyball lost the first set 25-22 but had a huge response winning the next 3 sets 25-22, 25-23 and 25-21 in a tightly contested match. It was a huge win as West Virginia State was 23-3 on the year and in 2nd place in the Mountain East South Division.
Keara Lewis had a huge game with 23 kills. Also chipping in was
Madison Chapman with 13 and
Joey Borelle with 12. Your assists leaders were
Lauren Albrecht with 29 assists and
Kelsie Dangerfield with 24.
Bryce Knapp had 20 Digs and 7 Assists. Ameila Moore had 6 blocks,
Emma Ludwig had 5 and
Madison Chapman had 4. After the big win it was a quick turnaround as they played the University of Charleston at 4:00 PM.
Volleyball suffered a tough defeat to the University of Charleston in straight sets. The University of Charleston was 23-3 on the year and in 1st place in the MEC South Division heading into the match. Leading the way for your Falcons were
