FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- No. 10/15 Fairmont State Men's Basketball completed the 80-76 comeback over the visitors from Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon in Mountain East Conference play. The Fighting Falcons found themselves down as much as 12 points with 11:18 left in the second half.

th career victory at the helm of the Fighting Falcons possessed today.
On the court,
George Mangas opened the scoring with a three-pointer as the Falcons and Battlers were knotted at 13 apiece with 12:36 remaining in the opening half.
Isaiah Sanders tied the contest at 24 apiece with a three-pointer but AB's KJ Walker regained the three-point advantage for the Battlers at the 6:52 mark of the first half. AB grew the margin to double-digits as Walker once again made a basket with 42 seconds remaining in the first half.
Zyon Dobbs converted on the front-end of two free throws as the two sides headed for the halftime break with the Battlers up 42-33 inside Joe Retton Arena.
In the second half,
Briggs Parris opened the scoring with a three-pointer of his own, but the Battlers once again retook the double-digit margin after a jumper by KJ Walker. The Falcons cut the lead down to five after a layup via
Seth Younkin, but AB scored four quick points to take the 53-44 lead. Coryon Rice knocked in a shot from beyond the arc at the 11:18 mark to give the Battlers their largest lead of the game at 12 points.
The Falcons did not go away easily as Fairmont State answered the three by Rice with a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to seven points capped by a three-point play via
Cole VonHandorf.
Seth Younkin brought the margin down to six points on a thunderous dunk at the 6:04 mark. Parris cut the lead in half to three points on a pivotal three-pointer. Fairmont State took the one-point margin off a made jumper by
Isaiah Sanders with 2:33 left in the second half. Two free throw makes by Alderson Broaddus' Vincent Smalls flipped the one-point lead back in favor of the Battlers, but five points via VonHandorf down the stretch gave the Falcons the 78-74 advantage on the scoreboard. Younkin cashed in two more free throws at the end of the contest as Fairmont State earned its 19
th victory of the season and 14
th in MEC action.
Sanders paced the Falcons with 21 points and added eight rebounds in the game as VonHandorf had 18 points on 6-11 shooting from the floor.
Zyon Dobbs and Parris each collected 12 points with Younkin grabbing a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. In the second half, Fairmont State shot 57.58% (19-33) from the field and went 7-8 from the charity stripe.
Alderson Broaddus' KJ Walker led all scorers on the night with 23 points on an efficient 9-14 shooting from the field. Coryon Rice (14 points), Zach Simpkins (11 points), and Smalls (10 points and 11 boards) each contributed to double-figures in the scoring column.
