Volleyball off to a historic start!

Volleyball improves to 9-0 on the year

Millersville, PA, -- Volleyball improves to 9-0 and is off to their best start in recent memory. They went 2-0 on the day winning games 3-1 and 3-1. Their first matchup of the day was against Chestnut Hill. They won their sets by a score of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-13. Your leaders for this match were Keara Lewis with 13 Kills, Nyla Birch with 11 and  Emma Ludwig with 10. Amelia Moore led the team with 6 Blocks. Lauren AlbrechtKelsie Dangerfield and Bryce Knapp are had really solid performances as well. Albrecht and Dangerfield each had 15 assists but also contributing with digs as well. Albrecht had 6 Digs while Dangerfield had 5. Bryce Knapp had 4 assists and 12 digs. After a solid win they turned to their attention quickly to unbeaten Millersville.

In the battle of unbeaten teams your Fighting Falcons came away with a very impressive 3-1 victory. They dominated set one winning 25-13 but Millersville did respond well and won the second set 25-20. Your Falcons regrouped and won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-17. They increased their winning streak to 9 and like stated earlier are off to their best start in recent memory. Bryce Knapp had a very impressive game getting 23 digs, 4 aces and adding 6 assists. Your other leaders from this match were Nyla Birch with 14 kills and Joey Borelle and Madison Chapman each with 10. Emma Ludwig and Joey Borelle each had 5 blocks. Lauren Albrecht and Kelsie Dangerfield continued to set their teammates up beautifully. Albrecht had 16 assists and Dangerfield had 18. Coach Hinkle had this to say about the weekend "It was another solid weekend for our squad. We played four very different teams and found ways to be successful in each match.  It was great to see so many different players make significant contributions this weekend. Right now we are hitting a good stride, but looking to improve for next week's Atlantic Region Crossover at Wheeling." Your Falcons are off until next weekend where they will compete in the Atlantic Region Crossover at Wheeling University.
