FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Fairmont State football team (8-3, 6-3 Mountain East Conference) fell to the Bobcats of Frostburg State (7-3, 6-3).

Frostburg State outgained the Falcons 175-13 on the ground and generated 249 more yards of total offense.
Michael Floria completed nine passes for 167 yards and recorded a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown.
Gage Michael hauled in a 29-yard touchdown reception and led the Falcons with 72 receiving yards on a trio of catches. Three Falcons registered double-digit tackle totals, with
Brocton Blair leading the charge with 17 total tackles and a sack.
Randy Robinson made 11 tackles in his Senior Day game while
Eltayeb Bushra made 10 tackles.
Sam Fairley also shined on Senior Day and returned an interception 70 yards for his second pick six of the season.

On the second drive of the game for the Falcons, Floria found Michael for a 15-yard reception that gave Fairmont State a first down on their own 20. After a Fairmont State punt, the Falcons held Frostburg State to a field goal for the first points of a game with 3:29 to play in the first quarter. After an FSU turnover the Fairmont State defense stepped up with a defensive touchdown as
Sam Fairley grabbed an interception and ran it back for 70 yards for the score.
Emmanuel Richardson tacked on the extra point and the Falcons 7-3 after the first quarter of play.

The Fairmont State defense held the Bobcats to a pair of field goals after entering the red zone and the Bobcats took a 9-7 lead with less than four minutes to go in the first half. Frostburg State quarterback Myles Fulton found Jamil Bishop on third down in the end zone before the first half expired to give the visitors a 16-7 lead at the break.

The Bobcats continued to ride the momentum at the end of the first half into the second half after Bishop returned the opening kick 90 yards for six. Frostburg State continued to pump in points with a Fulton seven-yard touchdown pass to Amari N'namdi-Hall and a Dayne Koontz 33-yard field goal. The Bobcats held a 33-7 lead at the end of the third quarter. Â

At the start of the 4
th quarter, Floria hit
Kobe Harris down the sideline for 44 yards that advanced the ball to the Frostburg six-yard line. Floria rushed into the end zone and trimmed the Frostburg State lead to 33-14. With 9:27 to go in the final quarter of action, Frostburg State added to its lead when Fulton tossed his third touchdown pass of the afternoon to go up 40-14. The Bobcats recovered the ensuing kickoff and capitalized on the favorable field position with six points when Fulton found the end zone on a 21-yard rush. Floria lofted a pass to Michael for a 29-yard scoring play. Frostburg State recovered the onside kick attempt from the Falcons and tacked on a field goal on the next drive to seal a win in the regular season finale.
