LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Carlina Jacquez placed 10th in her final race in a Fairmont State uniform at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships on Saturday (Nov. 4) at Lock Haven, Pa. Both Fairmont State cross country teams finished in 20th place.
Jacquez, a senior from Fairmont, W.Va., crossed the finish line in 21:29.9 and ran a 5:45.8 average mile as the top finisher for Fairmont State. Freshman
Megan Mitchell ran the 6k in 23:18.0 and finished 75th overall.
Mackenzie Payne (25:11.0),
Alexandrea Humphrey (26:48.9) and
Stella Episcopo (28:04.5) completed the roster for the Falcons. On the men's side,
Bailey DeMoss recorded a 32:52.0 in the 10k race and was the first Falcon that completed the race. William Lemaster finished at 33:41.6 and
Alex Morris registered a 36:28.7.
Isaac Coffman (38:18.4) and
Antonio Luketic (40:52.0) rounded out the scoring for FSU.
Jacob Righter (41:22.5) and
Tyler Martin (41.26.9) also competed in the race.
