PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Fairmont State University's women's cross country team placed ninth at the RMU Colonial Invite on Friday, highlighted by junior Megan Mitchell's 18th-place finish with a time of 21:56.5.
 
The Falcons finished ninth out of 11 teams, accumulating 282 points. Mitchell led the team with a standout performance, securing 18th place with a time of 21:56.5, which translated to an average mile of 5:52.9. Her scoring position of 17 was a significant contribution to the team's overall score. The team's average completion time for the event was 28:05, with a spread of 10:23.9 between their first and last scoring runners.
 
Sophomore Bella Haught and Chelsea Sayman followed Mitchell, placing 93rd and 96th respectively, with times of 27:10.0 and 28:11.5. Haught's average mile time was 7:17.0, while Sayman ran at 7:33.5 per mile. Junior Stella Episcopo and freshman Reagan Raffo rounded out the Falcons' scoring five, finishing 102nd and 103rd, contributing to the team's overall time of 2:20:25. The team faced tough competition but demonstrated depth in their lineup through a consistent scoring order.
