LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Fairmont State University men's and women's cross country teams raced at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships hosted by Lock Haven University. The women's team finished 16th as the men's team placed 18th.
Carlina Jacquez led the Falcons as she placed 14th. The graduate student from Fairmont, W.Va. ran the course in 21:40.4 with an average mile of 5:48.6.
Megan Mitchell was the next Fairmont State runner to cross line in 63rd with a time of 22:44.2.
Emily Viani (23:37.2),
Stella Marsch (25:07.8) and
Bella Haught (27:02.2) completed the roster for the Falcons.
On the men's side,
Bailey DeMoss recorded a time of 31:25.3 in the 10k race and was the first Falcon to finish.
Will LeMaster finished with a time of 33:34.8 and
David Urso registered a 34:30.5.
Christian Simon (35:01.9),
Tyler Martin (36:21.1),
Isaac Coffman (38:55.6) and
Taylor Hohman (39:00.6) rounded out the scoring for FSU.Â
