The first game was an absolute pitchers duel with Alyssa McCormick (FSU) and Brianna McCown (UC) went back and forth for the first two innings. In the bottom of the third, Elizabeth Waszkiewicz led off for the Falcons. After watching a pitch, Waszkiewicz lifted a ball over the right center fence to provide the home team with a 1-0 lead.
