Leslie Huffman Leads Falcons Past Seton Hill

ATHENS, W.Va. — Fairmont State (2-0, 0-0 MEC) edged Seton Hill (1-1, 0-0 PSAC), 77-76, at the Carter Center, capitalizing on 19 steals and a 28-for-40 performance at the free-throw line.

Fairmont State initiated the game with a solid defensive effort, forcing nine turnovers and capitalizing on opportunities inside, scoring 10 paint points. Despite an early 5-point deficit, the Falcons responded with a series of plays led by Gabby Reep and Ryan Davis, who each finished at the rim to trim the gap. The first quarter ended with the Falcons taking a narrow 19-16 lead over the Griffins.

The Falcons gained momentum midway through the second quarter, capitalizing on the Griffins' turnovers by converting free throws efficiently. Davis and Leslie Huffman were instrumental from the line, helping the Falcons maintain a narrow lead. With the quarter winding down, Haylen Cook's layup and Hadley Horne's 3-pointer extended the advantage.
