BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference has announced Monday the winners of this week's Football Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
Fairmont State running back
Leonard Farrow was selected as the MEC Offensive Player of the Week. Farrow, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound junior from Mount Hope, West Virginia, had a career day in the Falcons' 24-21 win against Seton Hill on Thursday. Farrow rushed 25 times for 274 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching a 32-yard touchdown pass out of the backfield. He led the team in rushing and receiving yards, and added a 26-yard kickoff return to finish the day with 332 all-purpose yards.
Farrow's day on the ground ranks No. 10 in MEC history for a single game, and the fourth-best rushing performance in Fairmont State history.
