FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State University Athletic Department is excited for its upcoming celebration of Day of Champions.

At halftime of the football game between Fairmont State University and Wheeling University on Saturday, September 20, Fairmont State will celebrate its championship individuals and teams from the 2024-25 athletic year. Those to be honored during the ceremony are men's and women's basketball, Austin Gibson and Colton Stoneking from the wrestling program, acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, Caleb Young from men's golf, and the men's and women's tennis teams.

Last year, these individuals and teams won conference championships and/or competed at national tournaments. Make sure to get your tickets for Saturday's game to cheer on the Falcons and celebrate these incredible athletic feats. Reminder to all fans that kickoff for the football game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and not the orginially listed time of 12:00 p.m.
