Fairmont State Continues Season at YSU Invitational

CANFIELD, Ohio – The Fairmont State men's and women's cross country teams continued their seasons at the Youngstown State University Invitational. 

On the men's side, freshman Donovan Tanouye made an immediate statement in his collegiate debut, racing to a fourth-place finish in the 8K with a time of 26:50.19. Senior Bailey DeMoss provided veteran stability, placing 15th in 28:23.40. Freshman Diego Perez (30:35.43), senior Tyler Martin (31:01.71), and sophomore Taylor Hohman (31:05.52) rounded out the Falcons' scoring five. Fairmont State finished fourth overall with 85 team points, just eight points out of a podium spot. 

For the women, junior Megan Mitchell led the way with a standout performance, finishing fourth overall in the 5K with a time of 19:31.43. She was joined in the scoring by sophomores Chelsea Sayman (23:51.28) and Bella Haught (23:55.84), as well as freshmen Reagan Michelski (28:25.90) and Stella Episcopo (31:55.55).

The Falcons will return to action on Friday, October 3 for the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
