BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced their 2026 Acrobatics & Tumbling Preseason Poll on Monday afternoon, with the Fairmont State University squad picked first in the conference.
Fairmont State is coming off one of its strongest seasons in program history, going 10-2 while posting a perfect 6-0 record in conference competition. The Falcons won the MEC regular season and tournament titles before competing in the NCATA National Championships. In the national poll, the team was ranked fifth, the highest in program history.
Danielle Cutri was named the MEC Coach of the Year.
The Falcons were followed by Glenville State with 31 points and one first-place vote. Frostburg State sits in third with 25 points, while West Liberty was voted fourth with 19 points. Kutztown (16), Wheeling (12) and West Virginia State (7) rounded out the preseason poll.
Fairmont State opens the 2026 season on Saturday, February 7 with a tri-meet against West Liberty and West Virginia State. Start time from Joe Retton Arena is set for 2:00 p.m.
