FAIRMONT, W.Va. — NCAA Division II raised over $270,000 during the 2025-26 academic year to support Make-A-Wish. Fairmont State University raised the second-most of all the participating schools.
Over the academic year, the Falcons and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) raised $23,000 for Make-A-Wish. From One Week, One Wish, to bake sales and tables set up at athletic events, SAAC collected donations as well as a matching gift from Elior Collegiate Dining to be able to host future wish experiences.
In 2025-26, Fairmont State and SAAC granted two wish experiences and are looking forward to doing the same in 2026-27. The Falcons will host their first wish experience on Saturday, October 31 as Fairmont State football hosts West Liberty University at 1:00 p.m.
