FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
Fairmont State's Viktoriia Dranytska is named the MEC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
 
Dranytska, a freshman from Lutsk, Ukraine won the 200-meter and 500-meter freestyle at a split meet with Shippensburg and California (Pa.) on Oct. 16. in a season and MEC best times of 1:56.12 and 5:19.93, respectively. The freshman leads the MEC in four events, including the 50, 100, 200, and 500 freestyle events.
