PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Fairmont State University (18-7, 12-6 MEC) fell to Point Park University (7-16, 4-14 MEC), 63-47.

Fairmont State opened the quarter with strong defensive pressure, forcing multiple turnovers and capitalizing early with a layup from Alanna Tate. They established a 6–2 advantage midway through the quarter, bolstered by Zaniya Murray's free throws and a three-pointer from Leila Jones. However, the Pioneers responded with a late surge, taking the lead with a jumper from Camille Fultz and holding on to finish the quarter ahead, 15–12.

The Falcons gained momentum in the second quarter with an 8–0 run in the final two minutes. Gabby Reep's fastbreak layup at 1:22, followed by her 3-pointer at 1:00. Hadley Horne added a jumper to extend the Falcons' advantage. The quarter ended with the Falcons leading 31–27.

Fairmont State fought to maintain momentum in the third quarter, starting with Murray converting a free throw and following up with a layup at 3:37, narrowing the gap significantly. Reep's layup at 3:03 tied the game again at 36. Despite the Falcons' effort, the Pioneers held a slight edge due to free throws and points in the paint, closing the quarter with a 40-39 advantage.
